The Glass Princess

Once upon a time, there lived a glass princess, in Evergreen town. Her father, the King Just, was a very wise man, who loved his only daughter like anything. Her mother, the Queen Wise, was the most beautiful and the most talented woman that ever graced Evergreen town. The princess grew up to be very beautiful. Every man and woman, living in that town, loved her and her kind nature. But the king grew very worried because soon she would be of marriageable age. He knew there was no one worthy of his daughter's love. He was afraid someone would break her. The Queen Wise assured him that no such thing would happen. But her worries were no less. And then came a day, when the glass princess demanded to see the forest beyond Evergreen town. The King and Queen failed to make her aware that the forest beyond them, is something she should beware. An intro. The most important part of anything. Be it a song. A book. Anything and everything requires an intro. For days I tried, in vain, to write an intro about myself. But I failed repeatedly. It was after a long time that I finally realised my mistake. I was describing myself superficially. The same way I would introduce myself to a stranger. But my audience certainly deserve to know more about me. They're no stranger. They're family. So I decided to be myself. After all being vulnerable is not being weak. You see....I have friends who are good at everything. I idolize people who are talented in one sector, one aspect. I love brilliant people. I love geniuses. I have parents who believe that I am one of a kind. And then there's Me. I am not exceptionally talented or something. I am not particularly skilled or experienced either. I am your regular, insecure, average woman. And I know that there are a lot of people like me out there. Waiting to be understood. Waiti...
